YOGA AND MINDFULNESS TO TEENS
The main aim and mission of the research, training and work that is undertaken by TeenYoga is to promote wellbeing among young people. While many young people are well, vibrant and have a strong voice in the world today, yoga supports and helps those who do not, through simple tools that alleviate stress, relieve trauma and empower young people. This is the work of Teenyoga. We do this by regularly consulting our team of Yoga ambassadors and including them in our annual conference to ensure a strong pupil voice.
Sophie has recently qualified as a TeenYoga teacher fully accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals and The Independent Yoga Network. You can link to Teen yoga through the facebook group, with weekly ‘life hacks’ from experienced TeenYoga teachers…
CLASSES AND MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON
Young people experience a great deal of pressure, and consequently stress, to perform well in school due to the high expectations on them both academically and socially. Yoga is a great way to deal with this and the teen yoga programme has been extremely well received by students at Ralph Allen. The approach taken is just right and has inspired our students not just to try yoga, but to stick with it. I recommend the programme wholeheartedly.
